Isolated hairs are usually harmless. But there are situations in which they are a symptom of a more serious problem.
Pay attention if:
Hair growth is accompanied by an irregular menstrual cycle.
Your skin has become oilier or you have developed acne.
You have unexplained weight gain.
These could be signs of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS ). In this case, tweezers won’t solve the problem: you need to consult a gynecologist and an endocrinologist.
