The boy didn’t answer right away.
He stepped forward, placed a small key and a folded document on the table, and looked straight at him.
“You keep what isn’t yours… down here.”
The security guard shifted slightly, alert, but the manager raised a hand to stop him.
Now he was interested.
“My grandfather trusted this bank,” the boy continued calmly.
“He shouldn’t have.”
The manager smirked.
“Then you’re about to leave disappointed.”
The boy didn’t move.
“Open vault seventeen.”
Silence.
The manager hesitated for a brief second, then turned toward the keypad. He entered the code.
The system responded.
And then—
Stopped.
His fingers froze.
“…that vault… was never claimed…” he whispered.
Something in the room changed.
The manager slowly turned back to the boy.
“Who sent you?” he asked.
The boy looked up at him.
“He did.”
Just two words.
